The participation of youth in organized sports leagues outside of school promotes healthy development by building an appreciation of personal health and fitness, developing a positive self-image, teaching them how to work as part of a team and how to respect others. Recognizing these benefits, the Greek Community remains committed to offering a wide range of youth sports activities which aim to enhance our children’s broader social development. Therefore, we invite you to register your children so that they can make new friends and discover new interests in a fun and competitive environment.
As the fall sports season is now upon us, the Youth & Athletics Department is excited to announce that sports activities for youth and adults during the 2010-2011 season will include soccer, floor/ball hockey, basketball, volleyball, boxing and women’s aerobics.
- Programs are available to all Greek Community of Toronto members in good standing.
- The registration fee is $20 per program.
- All programs run for approximately 32 weeks, from October to May.
- All programs are held at the Alexander the Great Youth Centre, 1385 Warden Avenue, Scarborough.
